Luis Diaz is a young professional surfer out of the Canary Islands off the coast of Spain. He’s currently ranked at 172nd in the world, which is crazy to think about after watching this guy rip in the video above.

Here, he’s surfing down in that classic blue water of the South Pacific, specifically in a small chain of islands called Mentawai off the coast of Indonesia. Like many islands in the South Pacific, it has a prodigious stash of sweet breaks.
