“Situated up on the Chilcotin Plateau, Terra Nostra Guest Ranch has the advantage of being on the less stormy side of the Coast Range mountains. This means there are more ski days! The ranch is located in an area that accesses mountains where we have not done much exploring, so the opportunity to ski, and name, first descents is very much a possibility. The skiing is similar to the rugged terrain accessible from all our lodge locations. Spectacular, above treeline terrain dominates, while there is some tree skiing when visibility drops. Another great feature of this zone is that there’s a backcountry cabin deep in the mountains, making it a perfect place for lunch! Guest stay in cozy rooms in the main log chalet building, each with en-suite bathrooms.

Bella Coola hosts just 8 people here, get your own group together and have exclusive access to the whole property and helicopter! Heli-skiing is not the only adventurous activity on offer. If it’s a down day, or after a day of heliskiing, guests can take part in a bunch of very Canadian activities. Terra Nostra Guest Ranch is located on Clearwater Lake which freezes during winter, making it the perfect place to grab some ice skates for some skating……or a game of pond hockey! Do you like fishing? Lodge owner and host Christoph is more than happy to take people out onto the lake by ATV to go ice-fishing! The ranch is home to around 25 horses, therefore it is possible go horseback riding if you are so inclined. Other activities include cross country skiing around the lake, as well as snowshoeing. You won’t go bored here! Another unique feature of the Ranch is the wood fire pizza oven. Host Christoph will fire up the oven in the morning, then you can design your own pizza for dinner that evening!”
