The Swiss Alps are well-known for many things: deep snow; stunning views; friendly cows; life-changing fondue (thanks to said cows).

The list goes on. And now, it includes an unlikely addition: surfing.

Enter Alaïa Bay, the first-ever wave pool in mainland Europe, freshly open and ready for all of your adventurous souls. Team Heli was fortunate enough to check this place out ourselves and, trust us, it’s the real deal.

Perched at the foot of ski areas like Crans-Montana, Verbier, Zermatt, and Chamonix, Alaïa Bay is perfectly situated and decked out from top to bottom with no details spared. The wave pool offers 20 types of waves, customized toward different levels of expertise and controlled from a special place called “The Magic Room.” Whether you’re surfing on your own or in a lesson, these custom waves are what dreams are made of.

Meanwhile, the Twin Fin restaurant has a worldly menu with options ranging from pizza to fish and chips to poke bowls—satisfying appetites of all types.

We’ve teamed up with Alaïa Bay to offer you a wide range of surfing packages. Smash the button, below, to find yours.
